Not every improvement needs a full remodel behind it. These are the changes we are asked for most often, and the ones that keep paying back after the work is done.
Start with the ones that cost least
- Replace the tap with something you enjoy using.
- Add under-cabinet task lighting on a dimmer.
- Swap cabinet handles for a heavier, better-finished set.
- Take one wall unit off and put shelving up instead.
- Re-grout and reseal around the sink and hob.
Then the ones worth planning for
- Replace the worktop and upstand as a single job.
- Convert lower cupboards to full-extension drawers.
- Add a tall larder with pull-out interiors.
- Introduce an island or a peninsula for prep and seating.
- Improve extraction properly, ducted outside rather than recirculating.
Done together, these ten cover most of what makes a kitchen feel considered without touching the structure of the room.
